Ziliang Liu's research explores how art mediates meaning in context of the yin-yang correlative cosmology in early China, particularly during the Qin and the Han periods (late 3rd Century B.C. – early 3rd Century A.D.). He is especially interested in bronze mirrors, jade artworks, gilt metal works, and tomb spaces of the Western Han Dynasty. A native of Beijing, China, Ziliang completed his undergraduate study at Carleton College in Minnesota and obtained his master’s degree at Regional Studies – East Asia at Harvard University. He is currently the founder and president of Harvard Visual China: A GSAS Student Organization. (Website: harvardvisualchina.com)
